My Backup Solution:
I personally have on my own system and recommend using a dual removable hard drive system . It cost a little more but guarantees minimal loss of data and downtime. With this setup you can be up and running in a few minutes.

Here's How It Works:
1. You have two hard drives that are identical.

2  You have two removable hard drive drawers (mobile racks) so the hard drives can be removed without having to remove the computers cover and take apart any hardware.

Removable draw or mobile rack

3. Using the two hard drives, leave your boot drive locked in all the time and your second hard drive unlocked.

4. Occasionally lock your second hard drive in. Then create an image using either an image program or RAID controller of your first hard drive. An image is an exact copy ( "image" ).

5. Once the image is complete, you unlock the second hard drive and you're done. You now have an exact copy on both hard drives.

As long as the images are maintained minimal information will be lost. If your boot hard drive should become faulty just unlock it and replace it with your second hard drive and you'll be up and running again while your first hard drive is being repaired.
